Nicola Liquori, appointed in August 2019, serves as the Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise. She has over 20 years of experience in the transportation industry. The Enterprise is part of the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and encompasses 511 centerline miles of Turnpike System facilities and touches 20 of the State’s 67 counties.

The Enterprise is also responsible for tolling operations statewide, primarily through the SunPass system. On a daily basis, the Enterprise processes three million toll transactions and is home to the largest single back office in the country. The Enterprise is also home to SunTrax, a facility that embodies the future of transportation technology in a multi-modal environment. The SunTrax mission is to advance technology solutions that improve transportation safety and efficiency. 

Ms. Liquori serves on the boards of the International Bridge Tunnel and Turnpike Association (IBTTA), the Alliance for Toll Innovation (ATI) and the Transportation and Expressway Authority Membership of Florida (TEAMFL). She chairs the IBTTA Government Affairs Committee and is the current Chair of TeamFL. She also serves on tolling peer review panels for Washington DOT and Oregon DOT. 

Nicola believes transportation has an exciting future and there has never been a better time to be a part of this ever-changing and complex industry. She looks forward to the next several years as technology becomes more embedded in delivering critical infrastructure.
