Michelle Mallory Peacock is Global Head of Public Policy for Waymo. Her team is responsible for policymaker and stakeholder engagement and advocacy to make it easier for people and goods to get where they need to be through deployments of autonomous vehicle technology.
Prior to Waymo, Michelle led Government Relations for Turo, the world’s largest peer-to-peer car-sharing company. Her work included building a program to address legislative initiatives in 43 states, and saw a tremendous track record of success during her 5 years with the company.
Before Turo, Michelle spent 12 years at eBay and PayPal, establishing eBay’s first state government relations program, PayPal’s first global government relations program, and integrated the two companies’ focus on public policy in emerging markets and new ventures. She later joined PayPal’s omnichannel business and led a team that developed commercial and association partnerships for the company’s in-person retail payments solution.
Previous roles included State Government Relations at Cisco Systems and Microsoft and federal and state roles with consumer finance company Beneficial Corp.
Michelle lives in the historic Willow Glen neighborhood of San Jose where her family makes regular trips to the SAP Center to cheer on their favorite San Jose Sharks.
