Crystal Stiles



Crystal Stiles is executive director of development for Distributed Technologies and Mobility (DT&M) at Florida Power & Light Company (FPL). In this role, Crystal leads DT&M functions that enhance programs and offerings for customers. Under her leadership, DT&M is expanding FPL EVolution, a growing electric vehicle (EV) network including public charging, residential charging and fleet electrification. Crystal is also responsible for microgrids and emerging technologies.

Crystal joined FPL in 2012 and led FPL’s Office of Economic Development. Under her guidance, the economic development team received repeat recognition by national economic development organizations and helped hundreds of companies locate or expand in Florida, resulting in over 30,000 new job opportunities. She also led the 2020 launch of 35 Mules, an innovation hub powered by FPL. 35 Mules provides resources and support to invited startups to grow Florida’s next generation of world-changing companies.

Crystal serves on the board of directors for Enterprise Florida, the Aerospace Alliance and the Electric Drive Transportation Association. She is vice-chair of the Florida delegation of the Southeast U.S./Japan Association and a past chair for the Florida Economic Development Council.

Crystal is a graduate of Leadership Florida Cornerstone Class XXXVII. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in communication from Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, Va., and a Master of Business Administration with a focus in international business from Florida Atlantic University.
