Alex Roy is a founding general partner at NIVC, a seed stage venture capital fund investing in automation, robotics, supply chain, energy and defense.

Roy is co-founder of Autonocast, a podcast about the future of transportation, and The Drive, one of the world’s largest automotive news platforms. He was previously Director of Special Operations at self-driving technology developer Argo AI.

As the “Godfather of the Modern Cannonball Run”, Roy has set 9x endurance driving records in the ICE, EV & 3-wheeled classes, and most recently set the first Tesla FSD coast-to-coast driving record.

Roy is also the author of “The Driver”, producer of “APEX: The Secret Race Across America”, and is Chairman Emeritus of The Moth storytelling series.
