Jim is the Chief Administrative and Legal Officer of TuSimple. He has more than 15 years of executive leadership experience in the trucking industry. Jim is also a member of the Board of Directors for the American Trucking Associations, the largest and most comprehensive national trade association for the trucking industry. Prior to joining TuSimple, Jim served as the Acting Administrator and Chief Counsel of the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Prior to that, Jim was an executive at Werner Enterprises, Inc., a publicly-traded transportation and logistics company, serving as executive vice president and general counsel.
