Matt Walsh serves as Regional Head of State & Local Public Policy at Waymo where since 2023, he has been responsible for leading Waymo’s state and local government affairs work across the eastern US.

Matt joined Waymo after serving as Government Relations Lead for the Northeast at Accenture where he was responsible for managing Accenture’s regulatory objectives at the state and local level as well as supporting their health & public service sales division. Previously, Matt served as Vice President at CMW Strategies, a lobbying firm based in New York City, where he was responsible for leading legislative and regulatory lobbying efforts across the firm focusing on a range of corporate, transportation, and technology clientele.

Prior to joining the private sector, Matt held several senior roles in both state and local government in New York including the State Assembly, New York City Department of Transportation, and the NYC Law Department.

Matt received his Juris Doctor from New York Law School and completed his undergraduate studies at SUNY Albany. He lives in New Jersey with his wife Colette and their two children Camille and Matthew.
