Mark has more than twenty-five years of experience in the transportation industry in both the public and private sectors.  Prior to his current role as the Florida Department of Transportation Director of Traffic Engineering and Operations, he spent ten years serving in various roles including the Transportation Systems Management and Operations Program Engineer and District Traffic Operations Engineer.  Mark’s passion is to use technology to improve safety and operations for our communities including Traffic Incident Management, Integrated Corridor Management, Connected and Automated Vehicles, and Mobility in Construction.  Mark received his bachelor’s and master’s in civil engineering from Wayne State University and was awarded the David D. Henry Award for leadership and scholarship. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Florida and graduated from the Operations Academy Senior Management Program.
