Carter Stern



Carter Stern is a Senior Government affairs manager for Cruise, the all-electric, autonomous vehicle company. Based in Texas, Carter handles Cruise’s governmental affairs and regulatory strategy outside of California. Prior to joining Cruise, Carter worked at various mobility tech companies including Lyft and ofo, as well as running the nonprofit operator of Houston’s station based bike-sharing program. Carter’s career has focused on the intersection of technology, public policy, and the built environment to ensure that new mobility solutions address the unique and diverse challenges facing cities. In his spare time, Carter serves as board chair of BikeHouston, Houston’s bike advocacy organization. He resides in Houston with his wife and two young children.
